The Safe, Secure and Speedy method of clamping ladders to roof racksThe 'tied and tested' method of fastening ladders to roof racks does not offer the best safety or security and takes time to rope up.
The "Secure A Ladder" lockable steel clamp offers far better safety in travel, security whilst parked and swiftness in clamping ladders to roof racks. A standard set of clamps will fix a single ladder.
Assembly and Safe Use
The Secure A Ladder clamps are zinc plated and packed in sets of two.
Insert threaded hook through hole in crossbar, ensuring crossbar stops are facing DOWNWARDS (this will prevent crossbar being rotated). Screw on the spinner.
Always use both clamps. Place hook through ladder and under roof rack bar with clamp crossbar resting on ladder stiles (or step ladder treads if steps are too wide). Tighten spinner until secure. If 'double stacking' ladders on top of each other, use 'Secure A Ladder' long threaded hook clamps.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!! We recommend that the hook thread is lubricated periodically to ensure free spinning of the nut.
